Recording in Abbey Road Studio 2

Though I'd been there, up until now I'd never had the chance to record in Studio 2, so this was definitely an opportunity I was going to relish!

Some of my favourite all time artists have recorded in Studio 2, from Radio Head to the Beatles, Pink Floyd to Oasis, and theres good reason.

Studio 2 has 'a sound', and the moment I heard Troy Kingi, Treye Liu and Marika Hodgson start to play with the faders up on the Neve and the MKII, the hair on my arms stood on end.

Yep there it was, big and dark like a wonderful familiar scarf on a winters day wrapping around me. a Moment I will never forget.

Of course the vintage mics' , plates, and the legendary chamber were used, I wanted every bit of colour from that place as I could wrangle, and it was so much fun.

The recordings are incredible, and working with Guy Massey made certain of it. What a legend.
